It’s Concrete on Center Stage Once More

By: Trotti, John Comments

World of Concrete (WOC) is usually among the first events of the year, and as such is often where we get to take a peek under the tents at new offerings from the hundreds of exhibitors who have made the annual trek to Las Vegas, so you know where I’ll be this week.

While concrete is the star attraction of the show, WOC is for all intents and purposes a somewhat downsized version of ConExpo Con/Agg that gives roughly 2 million square feet of Nevada’s premier watering hole something to yell about every third year. While WOC may be smaller, I find it in many ways better, not the least of which is the fact that in the four days I’ll be there I am likely to make it to every booth on the lot…something impossible at ConExpo unless you used a dozer to clear the way and push things together.

I know it sounds a bit silly since the event is already under way, but if you’ve been on the fence about going, it’s not too late to hop an airliner and take in this year’s show…particularly if you’re slogging through 10 feet of snow with not the slightest chance of seeing dirt to push around for at least a week.

For those of you who are already at the show, we’ll be there. Drop by our booth in Central Hall near all the heavy equipment (C6385) and tell us what you’re up to.
