Landfill gas (LFG) is an eligible renewable energy resource for all three opportunities.

1) Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power

Proposals Due: May 5, 2008

Rocky Mountain Power and Pacific Power are providing financial incentives through the Blue Sky program to help advance the development of renewable energy projects in the communities they serve. The utilities are able to provide upfront funding, up to 100 percent, of new qualifying projects. These projects must support new renewable energy technology development.

The Blue Sky program was developed by PacifiCorp, which operates in Oregon, Washington, and California as Pacific Power and in Utah, Wyoming, and Idaho as Rocky Mountain Power. The program provides customers with a simple and convenient way to purchase renewable energy and support new renewable energy development, including community-based renewable energy projects in the region.

Applications must be submitted to Rocky Mountain Power by 5:00 PM (MDT) on May 5, 2008. Applications are due to Pacific Power by 5:00 PM (PDT) on May 5, 2008.

2) Southern California Edison (SCE)

Notice of Intent Deadline: April 7, 2008

Proposals Due: May 2, 2008

SCE is soliciting proposals to supply electric energy, green attributes, capacity attributes, and resource adequacy benefits from eligible renewable energy resources, sufficient to permit SCE to execute one or more power purchase agreements and sale agreements in substantially the form of the Renewable Power Purchase and Sales Agreement.

A Pre-Proposal Conference was held on March 20, 2008. Attendance at the conference is not a required part of the proposal process. Proceedings for the conference as well as the RFP and appendices are available on the SCE Web site.

SCE requests that sellers provide a Non-Binding Notice of Intent to Submit Proposal using the form included in Appendix A, by April 7, 2008. While SCE highly encourages submittal of these notices, no penalty is assessed in SCE's evaluation process against any seller who does not provide such notice.

Proposals must be received by SCE by May 2, 2008.
