RIO VISTA, Calif. – Barrier Systems Inc. is pleased to announce that Michael G. Dreznes has accepted the position of Vice President of Sales and Marketing effective 1 April 2008.
Dreznes has had an exceptional career in directing the growth of sales and marketing organizations worldwide. He is also recognized as one of the leading roadway safety advocates and, in these capacities, he has trained road authorities in the proper application of roadway safety products and the development of local and national safety programs all over the world.
Most recently, Dreznes was the Deputy Director General of the International Road Federation (IRF), Washington Program Center. The IRF is an organization that is dedicated to the development of safe and effective roadway systems throughout the world and has program centers in Washington DC, Geneva and Brussels. As Deputy Director General, Dreznes developed and implemented a variety of training and educational programs promoting roadway safety subjects. With his experience training around the world as well as his passion for and knowledge of road safety, Dreznes, as a representative of Barrier Systems, will chair the newly created IRF-Washington Roadway Safety Working Group. This Group will develop sound policy on road safety for IRF to deliver to the world road community. Dreznes also currently serves as Co-Chairman of the AFB20(2) Roadside Safety Subcommittee on International Research for the Transportation Research Board.
